A SPACE FOR SMILES—THE PROJECT THAT LAUNCHED CINCY NICE

To carve a space for black visitors that would showcase black talent and creatives during BLINK 2019, we created the Cincy Nice Social House. Our pop-up transformed 4th St.’s Switch Lighting & Design into a welcoming oasis of smiles and an artistic community lounge for the city’s diverse talent to come together, connect, and celebrate throughout BLINK weekend.

Over the course of our three-day, two-night pop-up, Cincy Nice Social House showcased the city’s community, culture and creativity with a curated series of events including live musical performances, an all black photographer exhibit, panel discussions on our future city, guided wellness activities, BLINK afterparties, and an invite-only brunch to recognize cultural creators in the region.

It was one of the most creative and memorable experiences during one of Cincinnati’s most celebrated events.

  • 1,150+ estimated visitors including the attendees of the Creative Placemaking Conference and BLINK mural artists

  • 45+ diverse regional and out-of-state artists

  • 20+ co-collaborators including NY-based And Such PR, Denver-based Today’s Energy, D.C.’s DJ Mixxtress, and many, many local founders and creators.
